Understanding Formal Meetings for NFP Curling Clubs

The past two years have forced many changes and variations in the way NFP Curling Clubs operate and conduct their formal business. COVID-19 challenged many Clubs to pivot and host their Board and Member Meetings virtually, and created a great deal of uncertainty for some Clubs with respect to their legal meeting requirements and constitutional process. When mixed in with some new technology for the many involved, it is easy for issues to develop that may impact the validity and effectiveness of these important Club details. Review this 43 minute video presented by Sport Law's Jason Robinson, where he discusses the most important elements in ensuring your Club hosts a legal and constitutional AGM, how to effectively host virtual AGMs and other member meetings, and what to expect in the coming year to help you properly prepare.
